Default Ezinearticle Terms and Conditions... !!

Does anybody know the best way to go about this..

Ezinearticles only accepts a toplevel domain which you own in order to be re-directed directly an affiliate product page.

So if I see this right you would need a domain for each product you want to promote.

Are there any other ways promote an affiliate product in ezine articles ?
How do you link your promotions at the bottom of Ezinearticles ?

    Thanks for your advice

I'd say you just need a different page for every promotion which you could then shove up a re-direct on once your article goes live.

Say you own product.com, make your resource box link to product.com/offer, have some more content here with a link to the product, once your article is accepted i.e. they've checked the link as well as the article, redirect the page to whatever product you're promoting.

Always too better promote own landing for product, of course if it's long term.

The thing is my ezine article came up No. 1 in google for the search term, and now it has disappeared in the google ocean, probably because I redirected a sub domain directly to the affiliate page.

Therefore, do you reckon I get away with knocking up a quick sales or landing page off a sub domain containing more relevant content and linking to the affiliate page ?

    Cheers

I doubt your redirection has anything to do with your article's ranking. It is really common for EA articles to initially rank well and then fall off, because:

    1. When it is new, Google favors it because it is new (Google likes new, for a very short time, because of course after a little while it is no longer "new"!).

    2. When first published on EA, your article gets a bunch of backlinks from EA by being in the various "most recent" lists there. As your article ages, it falls off those lists, loses those backlinks, and is degraded by Google.

If you want your article to stick in the rankings (assuming the competition isn't too fierce) you will need to build backlinks to the article. Social bookmarks, Angela's backlink service links, dofollow comments, getting onto EA toplists (like "most viewed" in your category) etc. etc. etc.

I wouldn't point an EA article to a free service like Blogger. Blogger takes pages down all the time, making your link (and article) worthless. Invest the $8 in a domain, find some really cheap hosting, and YOU will be in control.

    Best Regards, Georgie

If you want a free top level domain get a .tk - they are free, only problem is I believe it uses frames so it probably wouldnt rank well on its own, a .com is wise investment.
