Hi ,

Please note that from today, when you start a thread or post anything,

1- DON'T PUT *** or any other ascii character in the TITLE of the Thread or Post.

2- PUT hxxp in the links and also put *** in all links.

3- Place all links in the code tags.

These changes have been made to make it easy for you to search the forum for anything that you might be looking for.

Please follow the above rules of posting promptly.

Farkleet, there are a lot of addons for vbulletin as well as other forum platforms that allows you to hide the LINKS inside a post. There are also settings which will allow only users with a certain amount of posts to view the links PLUS there's also this great feature I saw in another forum the other day that forces people to say "thanks" before the url is revealed.

The addon can also hide all links from getting indexed.

I know of these addons, but don't know where to get them though.

rex, FAR better mod would be the one that does not allow anyone with a postcount less then 10 post any links. It'll work wonders for 99% of spam.
Also the admins should update the captcha to recaptcha or at least put some question:answer type thing, like: "Forum. .... .net, fill the missing piece", or something non-trivial

PLUS there's also this great feature I saw in another forum the other day that forces people to say "thanks" before the url is revealed.

This will turn the forum into something terrible. I mean c'mon, this is like beggin at its WORST, you only say 'thank you' when someone truly helped you or did something great, not ripped off some shitty links of some warez forum.

But c'mon guys do something, there are like 10 spam threads a day.
