    Default (Ask) Expired domain

One of my domains was removed from my control panel as it was expired earlier. It is now available for register once again. Can this hold the age factor? meaning that can this be considered to be an old domain?

    Yes and no.
It's an old domain in the sense that it will always show that it was first registered x years ago (though it will also show that it's dropped) but generally speaking, the value in having an 'old domain' is that search engines won't sandbox you this easily. Now depending on for how long the domain has been dropped (is it still indexed by google i.e. do you find it if you type in
    Code:
    site:www.yourdomain.com
?) google might take it either as an old or as a new domain. If it's still in google's index then it's theoretically an aged domain yes.

There is a confusion over here....This is an 7 year old domain ( can check that with archive dot org) and when is use the site:command there are few pages that are still indexed in Google howver when I click on that indexed link the page dosen't open up as it is not hosted anywhere now(since it was removed from my cpanel)

If you are registering it again, it will be considered as a new domain. The domain creation date will be the re-registration date. Still you have the advantage of getting traffic from previously indexed pages in search engines.

I'm concerned with the age rather than traffic.I guess I got the point now.

Dropped Domains won't be considered as aged. They are equal to new. Of course, if they had good traffic in the past you can regain the traffic and popularity quicker than the new domain.
